Leaving Spokane Valley on Wednesday morning, we headed a little east but mostly south and back into Idaho. Our destination was Moscow, Idaho. "Moscow" is pronounced \moss-coe\. Apparently the first post master, who was Russian, named it. We stopped downtown at the visitor center and then decided to explore a few the the stores, including the rock and gem store that displayed this marvel in its window.
