West Virginia State Capitol

I wanted to catch this state capitol building because it is considered an architectural masterpiece designed by Cass Gilbert and completed in 1932.  He designed two other state capitols and the Supreme Court Building. His public buildings in the Beaux Arts style are said to "reflect the optimistic American sense that the nation was heir to Greek democracy, Roman law, and Renaissance humanism."
