Before we left Lexington, we had to take in Ashland, Henry Clay's estate. Henry Clay is one of my heroes and what I learned during our informative tour only reinforced my feelings. Besides that, the mansion was magnificent, with more than 70% of the furnishings being original. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures inside.
