On the Road Again

Our flights, layover, rental car pickup and hotel check-in were all smooth and efficient.  We stayed in Layton, Utah, last night and were on the road toward Idaho early this morning. 

Our Next Adventure

Tomorrow we begin our next big travel adventure, heading again out west, this time just north of where we went last fall.  We're taking in two new states for us--Idaho and Montana, but we will also be in Utah (since we're flying into Salt lake City), Wyoming (when we take in Grand Teton Nation park and Yellowstone) and Washington (when we cross over into Spokane).

Final Map

After Bingham's, we stopped for a few groceries and then visited Stella and Ted and Tish, who was laid up with the flu.

Of course we had to make our traditional stop at Bingham's Restaurant.  Back in 2013 President Obama had also stopped there for some pie.  I had my usual cream puff and Nancy had caramel crumb apple pie.  We bought two loaves of cinnamon raisin bread, two pies and a cream puff to share with the family back home.

Fire In Atlanta

We left Atlanta on Wednesday.  Then on Thursday we heard about a huge fire on I 85 that collapsed a bridge.  We had driven over that same bridge on each day, Monday through Wednesday.
