Our next stop was Valley of Fire State Park, which is near the north end of Lake Mead.  There were a lot of interesting red sandstone formations.

It wasn't long before we were on the road Wednesday morning, heading out of Las Vegas.  Our first destination was a drive along the north shore of Lake Mead.  The Internet here in Ely, Nevada, is very slow, so I probably will be limited as to the number of pictures I can upload tonight.

Our flights to Detroit and on to Las Vegas was thankfully uneventful and we even arrived a little early.
